So why Fake your Cake?

 

As a cake decorator I often heard the same thing from brides. They loved the look of the larger multi tiered cake but it was out of their price range or that much cake was just not needed. I frequently made cakes where most of the tiers were fake(polystrene) with only the bottom tier being real cake. This was a cheaper option but the couple still incurred the full cost of decorating the fake tiers and afterwards were left half a fake wedding cake they had no further use for.  
Renting a completely fake cake is a really good option for these couples. They get the look they want and save hundreds of dollars on the cost of a real cake.


A fake cake can work for many couples. With many venues including a dessert in the menus , the wedding cake often gets wasted and not eaten.  By not serving a cake you will also save on the cakeage fees often charged for cutting and serving your cake.


Still want to serve a cake to your guests?

A slab cake can be ordered from a bakery or even your venue for a reasonable price. This cake can be any style / flavour cake you wish, your options are greatly increased over the typical mud or fruit cake traditional used in tiered cakes. Your cake would be served directly from the kitchen, no one will know it wasn't your cake.

 

Outdoor wedding?

Heat can leave a real cake in a melted mess very quickly. Usually the cake only being bought out for cutting and then whisked away. A Fake cake can be left out on display for your entire reception, no need for refridgeration or air conditioning

 

 

But what about our photos?

Our cakes have a pre cut knife slot at the back to allow you to still cut your cake for your photos.
